How old do I have to be to join the Redlands Clay Crushers (RCC)?
Our athletes currently range from 10 – 18 years of age. Any youth wanting to join the team must first schedule an evaluation with one of our coaches. This will allow the coach to assess listening and focus skills necessary to maintain safety in this sport.
Do I need my own shotgun to join the team?
Not at all! Redlands Shooting Park offers rentals to our team members. This is available at every practice and competitions held there.
Can I join if I’ve never shot a shotgun before?
Of course, you can! Again, we schedule an evaluation with one of our coaching staff who will place you in the appropriate practice group to maximize your learning potential and increase your confidence and skill.
Is there a monthly membership fee to join?
No. There is not a monthly fee to join the team. Since we are an SCTP team, each team member is required to pay $25 annual membership dues to SCTP.
Do I have to compete if I join the team?
No. Although we encourage our team members to try competition, it is not a requirement to be a member of the team.
